I took this trip because of my Dad. He was an adventurous guy who drove his red '53 Mercury from California to Fish Creek, WI with his best friend two years ago and documented it with a photography blog. So I wanted him to be there with me, in a way. I brought his hat, his camera, and his spirit along with me.

On the Road
Driving over the Sierras and into the Nevada desert was gorgeous, especially when you're the only car for miles.
Corn
Rows and rows of corn is what you see driving trough Iowa and Nebraska. Rows and rows and rows and rows.....
Making a Friend in Utah
No surprise that this is one of my favorites. We pulled over and he came trotting over from the other side of the pasture. Dad would be petrified to learn that he slobbered on the brim!
The Loneliest Highway
On his trip, my Dad took a photo of David lying in the middle of the road like this titled "David Dies on the Road". So, Hailey helped me do something similar. In my opinion, his photo was cooler.
The Bar at Middle of Nowhere, Nevada
The last spot I decided to get a photo was in Middlegate, Nevada, pop. 17. It was one of the stops he made on his trip across the country with David, where he chummed it up with the bartender while David took a nap on the grass outside. As luck would have it, I left my purse hanging on the chair while I went to go take this photo, and realized I never went back for it about an hour and a half down the road. If you've gotten to this point, thank you for looking through the whole site and hope you enjoyed it!
